I have always had a passion for nature, the outdoors and all things adventurous. I started rifle hunting in Northern Wisconsin for whitetail deer with my husband about 20 years ago. We also hunted with the shotgun for pheasants, ducks, coyote and other small game. When I started shooting the bow 3 years ago, I realized that I found my true passion, so much that I venture off to hunt with the bow on my own.

I also compete in different types of archery competitions throughout the year, and have won 1st place in the 2008 Illinois State Field Archery Championship, and in 2007 took 1st place in the Illinois State 3D Championship, and 3rd place in 2008, along with 1st place in the Illinois Rinehart 100 in 2008. I will begin traveling to compete in more state and regional competitions.

Hunting with the bow is also an obsession. In the near future, I plan to hunt moose, bear, elk, caribou, pronghorn antelope, mule deer and other game with my bow.

My other adventures include camping, hiking, fishing, traveling and exploring new places, riding motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and flying airplanes. As if that wasn’t enough, I have made plans to sky dive this coming summer. Time is ticking and there is still so much to do!

I own a small outdoor graphic design business called Orion Outdoor Graphics. Additionally, I write for 2 online magazines, called “Women Anglers and Hunters Too” and am working on some articles for “Archery Focus Magazine.” My other writing adventure is a book project.

With all these adventures and excursions comes gear – all types of gear! GPS’s, binoculars, flashlights, clothing, camp stoves, backpacks, cameras; the list is endless!

I met John when we both served in the United States Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol) on the Chicago Midway Squadron Search and Rescue Ground Team. In this capacity, there is a whole other world of tactical and emergency services gear that we used to perform our missions.

Boy, do we have gear to talk about!
