LA Police Gear Tactical Map Bag (TMB) Review

Just as an FYI, the item that you describe as a holding tab in the velcro’d compartment that has what you describe is actually a holster designed to hold a handgun. You take the one long piece that has velcro the full lenght and align that along the axis of your handgun’s barrel. You then wrap the other, perpendicular piece around the handgun and to the back. You then attach this entire section to one side of the velcro compartment in such a way as to make the handgun easily accessible to you.
I’ve got a law enforcement buddy who has a similar bag, but I think his is made by Blackhawk. He calls it his “tactical man purse”. Pretty funny. He’s crazy ’cause he walks around with it off duty with pistol mags and miscellaneous gear hanging out of it. We call him tacti-cool.
